Communications Strategist
A collection of work shaped by curiosity, strategic thinking, and continuous learning across public sector communications, branding and digital media
Chenab Bridge. USBRL. Vande Bharat. Anji Khad. Pamban. Turning world-record engineering into narratives the nation could feel proud of — accurately, at scale, on deadline.
Building a multi-platform employment campaign with a five-tier approval chain including the Prime Minister's Office. Every asset had to survive scrutiny from JS level all the way to PMO.
When India's new Labour Codes sparked widespread misconceptions across public discourse, the job wasn't to announce policy. It was to restore trust through transparent, fact-first storytelling.
Strategy, branding, website, SEO, content architecture — every layer built solo, alongside a full-time career. A masterclass in what happens when you own every function of a product.
The scale of the challenge
Overview
India's railway infrastructure projects are feats of civil engineering that most citizens will never see up close. The Chenab Bridge rises 359 metres above a Himalayan gorge. The USBRL connects Kashmir to the national rail network after decades of effort. These are not routine announcements they are generational achievements demanding communication to match.
The objective: translate highly technical infrastructure milestones into public-facing narratives that informed, inspired and built genuine national pride, without oversimplifying the engineering or losing accuracy under deadline pressure.
The challenge wasn't explaining a bridge. It was making people understand why a bridge changed everything.
Projects Worked On
The Challenge — Four Simultaneous Problems
Communication Strategy — Three Pillars
Every infrastructure story was grounded in what it meant for real people — reduced travel time, new economic corridors, communities connected. Engineering facts served the human narrative, not the other way around.
World-record heights, first-of-kind construction methods, decade-spanning ambition — technical achievement was positioned not as jargon but as proof of national capability.
Infrastructure was framed as the physical expression of economic development. Each project became a chapter in a larger story about India's direction — not just a construction update.

Deliverables
Key Learnings
Infrastructure communication demands a rare discipline: technical accuracy and narrative accessibility must coexist in every sentence, not alternate between them. Finding that line is the entire craft.
Storytelling is the only tool that scales public understanding of complex policy. Data informs; story convinces. A bridge height is a statistic. A train connecting a valley for the first time is a story.
In government communication, stakeholder alignment isn't a soft skill, it's the primary execution challenge. Getting consensus on a single caption can involve as many decisions as writing the full campaign.
Overview
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana was launched to accelerate formal employment and support first-time employees and employers through direct financial incentives. The milestone event where the Prime Minister personally disbursed incentives to beneficiaries made this one of the Ministry's most consequential communication moments.
The goal wasn't just to publicise the event. It was to make every citizen, job seeker and employer feel that this scheme was made for them while every single asset survived a five-tier government approval chain.
Every asset was one level away from the Prime Minister's Office. The margin for error was exactly zero.
The Approval Ecosystem — Five Tiers, One Campaign
Every communication asset had to pass through each of these levels before going live. Managing timelines, feedback and alignment across all five simultaneously was itself a core part of the work.
The Challenge
Communication Strategy
Technical policy provisions translated into plain language built around one question every beneficiary had: what does this mean for me, specifically? Not how it was structured what it does for you.
Messaging centred the human reality — a first job, a first paycheck, an employer who could finally hire formally. Policy mechanics were context, not the subject of the story.
From social feeds to hoarding sites across New Delhi to the event venue itself, one integrated message system deployed across every available surface, in sync.
What Was Built — Three Platforms
My Contributions
Key Learnings
Large-scale government campaigns require an unusual combination: creative ambition that survives a five-tier approval chain while staying exactly on policy. Both are non-negotiable.
The most effective policy communication leads with citizen benefit, not administrative process. People remember what the scheme does for them not how it was structured.
Multi-stakeholder revision environments aren't obstacles to good work they are part of the work. Managing feedback across competing priorities with hard deadlines intact is a professional skill in its own right.
Integrated campaigns digital, outdoor and event in sync produce reach and recall that no single channel can replicate on its own.
Overview
India's new Labour Codes consolidated decades of fragmented labour legislation — a genuine simplification of the regulatory landscape. But as the reforms moved through public discourse, a parallel information crisis emerged: misconceptions about worker rights, social security, and employer obligations spread faster than the facts could travel.
This wasn't a communications brief. It was a trust restoration project — requiring deep policy research, an understanding of why myths were believable in the first place, and a communication strategy built on transparency rather than assertion.
Misinformation occupies narrative territory before corrections arrive. Reclaiming it requires emotional intelligence, not just factual accuracy.
The Information Battlefield — Myths That Had to Be Dismantled
These misconceptions were not random — they reflected real public anxieties about the reforms. Effective communication had to name each myth directly and answer it with verified evidence, not just general reassurances.
The Challenge
Communication Strategy
Addressing misconceptions directly — naming the myth, disproving it with specific, verifiable evidence from the Acts themselves. Credibility required showing the work, not just asserting the conclusion.
Reforms always explained through the lens of the worker and employer — what changed for them, concretely. The policy architecture was context; the person was the subject.
Dense legal content translated into formats native to digital platforms — concise, scannable, clear — without stripping out the substance that made the communication trustworthy.
My Contributions
Key Learnings
Effective policy communication is not about disseminating information. It's about helping people understand the intent behind a policy — the why, not just the what — through transparent, credible, and repeatable storytelling.
Misinformation occupies narrative territory before corrections arrive. Reclaiming that territory requires emotional intelligence — understanding why the myth was believable in the first place, not just why it was wrong.
Research depth is a competitive advantage in communications. The strategist who has actually read the source legislation will always produce more trustworthy work than one who summarises summaries.
Overview
BenchToField started with a simple observation: most fitness content online is oversimplified, trend-driven, or lacks scientific credibility and most sports coverage stops at results it never explains the performance, the training or the physiological edge that separates good from great.
Every layer of the platform - strategy, brand identity, website, content architecture, SEO, social distribution — was planned and is being executed independently, alongside a demanding full-time career. No team. No technical background. No blueprint. Just the discipline to learn everything the platform needed, then learn the next thing after that.
Owning a project end-to-end produces a depth of professional understanding that no single-function role can replicate.
Everything Built — From Zero
Each of these was a new capability that had to be learned, then applied under real conditions, with real consequences for getting it wrong.
The Challenge — Every Function Was One Person
Editorial Philosophy — Three Pillars
Every piece of fitness content is rooted in research rather than trend. The platform treats its audience as people who want to understand the mechanism, not just follow the instruction.
Coverage goes beyond scores and transfers. Performance analysis, tactical breakdowns, sports science at the elite level — the stories the mainstream doesn't tell.
Content a reader can take from the screen and apply — to their training, their understanding of an athlete, their relationship with sport and fitness.
Skills Developed Through the Build
Key Learnings
Building a digital platform requires thinking across strategy, execution, and continuous learning simultaneously — not sequentially. The person who can do all three is rare, and this project proved it was possible.
Strong content is only as effective as the publishing infrastructure supporting it. An excellent article with no SEO foundation and no distribution strategy will simply not be found.
Every problem that had to be solved independently became a permanent capability. Owning a project end-to-end produces a depth of understanding that no single-function role can replicate.
The discipline to keep building through uncertainty — when there's no brief, no deadline, no external accountability — is itself a differentiated skill. BenchToField is proof of it.
